The BC Orange Soft Bead is one of the most reliable and time-tested colors for targeting salmon and steelhead in British Columbia rivers. Originally released in 2015, this color has consistently produced results across a wide range of water conditions, making it a must-have in any angler’s setup.

 

Why BC Orange Works:
Orange is one of the most effective bead colors for salmon fishing in BC and Pacific Northwest. It imitates fresh eggs while still being visible in slightly stained water. This makes it especially effective during:

  • Early to mid-season salmon runs.
  • Slightly dirty or clear water conditions.

Recommended Sizes by Species

  • Trout: 4mm–8mm
  • Coho Salmon: 8mm–12mm
  • Chinook Salmon: 12mm–16mm
